The equipment for ASTRA2Connect is designed to be simple to fit and set up so you can do it yourself
Do-it-yourself installation
With some do-it-yourself experience and a few common household tools, you can install the ASTRA2Connect satellite kit yourself. All the hardware you need to connect your computer or network to ASTRA2Connect satellite broadband is supplied in the low cost equipment pack.
ASTRA2Connect installation is a simple step-by-step process:
- Unpack and assemble the dish and iLNB on a suitable wall or ground mount
- Set approximate dish angle and direction according to the instructions in the manual
- Connect and turn on the modem and accurately point the dish using the Point&Play tool
- Watch the automatic connection to the Internet (no software to download).
- Go surf!

- IP modem – converts satellite signals to/from computer data

- Set of cables – to connect dish, modem and your computer

Installing the add-on TV pack
The multifeed clamp and quad LNB is supplied as extra equipment to receive satellite TV channels from the ASTRA2Connect dish. Either you or your local service provider can install this option directly when installing ASTRA2Connect, or at a later date to upgrade the dish for TV reception.
Professional installation
If you would rather not install the dish and modem yourself, your local service provider offers an installation service for a small charge.
